Overview

The event "Blockchain" should give an introduction to the topic and include two parts:

• Theory: This part should include a mixture of scientific content and practical contributions.
• Lab: This part involves the development of a concept for a self-chosen blockchain solution (for example, mock-up / prototype).

The theory part takes place during a weekly lecture, the lab part is part of a 2-day block event. The students have the opportunity to present their developed concepts to a jury of specialists consisting of start-up entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and digitization experts of financial service providers and receive feedback. Students have the opportunity to network with start-ups from Trust Square, the F10 and the Crypto Valley train. There is also the opportunity for international networking with start-ups via swissnex San Francisco, swissnex China, The Floor, etc.

The lecture course FinTech & InsurTech - Digitization of the financial industry gives an introduction to the topic of digitization of financial services and comprises two parts:

• Theory: This part contains a mix of scientific content and practical contributions from different perspectives of start-ups, venture capitalists, banks and insurance companies. The theory part takes place during a weekly lecture.
• Lab: This part involves the development of a concept for a self-chosen FinTech solution (for example, mock-up / prototype). The lab part is part of a 2-day block event. This will be accompanied by http://www.f10.ch, where there is an opportunity to exchange more intensively with start-ups and innovators of financial service providers. The students have the opportunity to present their developed concepts to a jury of specialists consisting of start-up entrepreneurs, venture capitalists and digitization experts of financial service providers and receive feedback.
