Short Biography
Daniel Fasnacht is director, senior lecturer for Executive Education, and SFIL fellow at the Department of Finance at the University of Zurich. He is also a full member of the university’s Digital Society Initiative and co-head of RiskON, an initiative promoting the adoption of AI in risk management across the Swiss banking sector. His career spans roles as a management consultant, banker, and CEO of asset management firms, with experience in Switzerland, Germany, Latin America, and the UK. He holds degrees in Business Informatics, an MBA from the University of St. Gallen in collaboration with UC Berkeley, and a PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Nottingham.
Daniel is the CEO and founder of EcosystemPartners AG and an accredited mentor for Innosuisse, the Swiss Innovation Agency. Recognized as a thought leader in the financial community, he is actively engaged in advisory boards and associations such as the Asia Society, Efficiency Club, and Swiss Board Forum. He also serves as a reviewer for academic journals including California Management Review, Financial Innovation and SAGE Open.
